Gyaan Adab celebrated architecture with a talk on ‘La Chapelle du Ronchamp’ given by Mr. Adi Patell, a retired architect. La Chapelle du Ronchamp, designed by Le Corbusier is a masterpiece of contemporary architecture. On an architectural pilgrimage to France, Mr. Patell witnessed the wonder of this iconic church.
The evening paid homage to France as guests were treated to French tea comprising of delectable cheeses, croissants, French jam and other savories. French jazz music played in the background as patrons enjoyed their coffee and conversation.
Mr. Patell began his talk by introducing the audience to the finer points of architecture, in particular, the morphology, plans and interiors of church architecture. He also touched upon the various aspects of architecture and discussed the differences. His talk was followed by a musical photomontage featuring the marvel of La Chapelle du Ronchamp.
After the presentation, the audience, many of whom were architects and students of architecture, gathered to exchange thoughts and ideas with Mr. Patell.
