HARMONY IN HARMONICA
December 10, 2014 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

The melodies of evergreen songs evoke nostalgia and take one on a trip down memory lane. When heard on the harmonica, the delightful wind instrument adds to the beauty of the compositions compelling us to sway gently to the rhythmic music. (Veteran) Wing Commander Anup Banerjee will recreate this magic with his harmonica for an evening of perennial classics. He will play both English and Hindi ‘Golden Oldies’ from the Sixties to the Nineties; songs that have a foot-tapping beat and memorable melodies.

Anup Banerjee has been playing the Harmonica (mouth organ) for the last 50 years, from school, through college, and in the Air Force. He is a self-taught musician, and also uses the keyboard to provide his own back-up for the harmonica. He plays both, the Blues and Chromatic harmonicas. He has performed at shows in the Air Force, RSI, ALC and PRC on a number of occasions.
