About the Book:  Falling Walls (2015) and In the City a MIrror Wandering (2019)  follow the trials and tribulations of a young writer called Chetan as he navigates the cities of Jalandhar, Lahore and Shimla in the 1930s.

About the Author:   Upendranath Sharma "Ashk" (1910 - 1996) began his writing career with Urdu but switched to Hindi on the advice of Munshi Premchand. A   writer of fiction and drama, he was a compatriot of Saadat Hasan Manto. He was the first Hindi dramatist to win the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.

About the Presenter:  Shradha Kochhar is a research scholar pursuing her doctoral studies at BITS, Goa. She is studying  literature set in the colonial cities of Punjab. She has a BA in Economics from Symbiosis and an MA in English Literature from St. Mira's, Pune.
