About the Novel:  Apeirogon (long listed for the Booker Prize 2020) explores the conflict in the Middle East. The story follows two real life figures - Rami Elhanan, an Israeli graphic designer, and Bassam Aramin, a Palestinian scholar and previous political prisoner. The book consists of 1001 short sections and shows how the two central figures bond over the untimely deaths of their respective daughters.

About the Author: Colum McCann has Irish roots. He is a Distinguished Professor of Creative Writing in the Master of Fine Arts program at Hunter College, New York. McCann has received numerous awards, including recognition as Chevalier des Arts et Lettres by the French government.

About the Presenter: After many years as a Marketing professional in IT companies, Sunita Shetty now functions as an independent consultant. She has worked in India, France and the Middle East.  She has a Masters degree from the Ecole Internationale Maxims de Paris.
