Empty Café – Fusion-funk band

Empty Café’ is the new image of fusion music which was evident by the electric performance on Saturday 6 December. Jazz-blues synced with Indian classical music as guitarist Vinay Kaushal and flautist Gandhaar Amin took the stage. The duo played original compositions and songs featured in their new EP.
Vinay and Gandhaar also spoke about their foray into fusion music and the essentials of jazz and blues versus classical music. They demonstrated this by an impromptu jam session. Vinay’s riffs on the guitar perfectly complemented Gandhaar’s melodies on the flute.

The two young musicians captivated the audience with their unique sound so much so, that the audience demanded an encore. The fusion-funk band happily obliged and launched into a rendition of their popular songs to cap off a perfect musical evening.
