Ek Bhikarin Ki Maut

31st October 2015, Saturday

She was a young beggar who would sit at‎ the busiest square of the crowded city, bare chested, begging. One day her nude body was discovered‎, causing a sensation and gossip spread. In a matter of hours, she became the talk of the town.

Written and directed by Sanjay Bhardwaj, Ek Bhikarin Ki Maut (language: Hindi) stood testimony to the fact that good Hindi plays are coming back to the city. With a talented cast of 11, the stage was filled with a range of characters. The entire evening presented a good opportunity to bring out the real side of the society to those present, and at the same time, entertain them. One couldn’t realize that the play lasted for one and a half hours, judging by how smooth and engaging the whole performance was.
