About Kala Ramesh:

An exponent of Hindustani Classical Music, Kala Ramesh was bitten by the haiku-bug in 2005. Since then, she has explored various genres like haiku, tanka, senryu, haibun and renku, (collaborative linked verses) and has been published in leading e-zines and anthologies. She was the Festival Director of the 9th World Haiku Festival, (WHC) Bangalore, February 2008 and her book, Haiku was published by Katha, in 2010 . Her work is also featured in Haiku 21: An anthology of contemporary English-language haiku, edited by Lee Gurga and Scott Metz, published in 2011.
