Talking Theatre & Tea

20th November 2015, Friday

It was a fitting tribute to playwright Edward Albee as Joel D’Souza and Anub George enacted a reading from Albee’s classic one-act play Zoo Story. Directed by Randhir Khare, the play that was a tad bit over an hour’s duration began and ended as a lovely evening on a park bench.

He was enjoying a lovely evening on a park bench when the young man arrived- angry and lost. What started as a curious conversation between strangers turned into a traumatic confrontation. Only a masterful playwright like Edward Albee could have handled the delicate balance between civility and outrage with such craft.

This venture marked the continuation of a new series of dramatic readings by theatre enthusiasts from the Gyaan Adab community.
