On Saturday, December 13th, the audience was taken on a mesmerizing journey through words and music by award-winning haiku poet Kala Ramesh and renowned flautist Milind Date.

Kala Ramesh has more than a 1000 poems published in reputed journals and anthologies, both online and print editions in Japan, Europe, United Kingdom, Australia, United States of America and India. Milind Date is one of the senior most disciples of legendary Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia and has performed more than 3000 concerts all over the world.

The evening began with a reading of haiku poems as Kala created beautiful imagery with her words. Milind complemented with his melodies and soulful music on the flute.

Along with haiku poems, Kala also recited tanka (five line poem), haibun (tight prose embedded with haiku), senryu (poems based on human nature), and renku (collaborative poetry). Milind played different harmonious ragas on his bansuri.

Poetry and music weaved in and out and created an artistic tapestry. The audience was held captive by the beauty of words and ragas.
