Mumbai based artist Karlette Joseph showcased her art work in mixed media depicting mandalas, chakras and an insight into self and exploration of the world. Her work has progressed through the years, a journey through time and herself leading to the title of the exhibition – ‘Evolution to Involution’.
Artwork from 2009 to 2015 featured the abstract artist’s experimentation and progress with different mediums and techniques. The exhibition also revealed her spiritual journey from using art to heal herself to being fascinated with nature to her inner discovery with chanting and experimentation using different styles of mandala art.
The opening featured Karlette talking about her art journey with an introduction by her mentor, Susan Bullough Khare.  Visitors marveled at the diversity and styles of her art.
Karlette also conducted a one day special mandala art workshop on Saturday, April 4, 2015. The goal of the mandala is to serve as a meditative tool on the spiritual journey and the workshop helped guide the participants to lead more positive lives. At the workshop, Karlette introduced the participants to the concepts of ‘Evolution to Involution’, ‘Evolution of the Soul to Human Form’ ‘Seven levels of Consciousness’ in spirituality. The participants learnt the ancient art of making mandalas with precision and clarity and tap into their inner spirituality and consciousness.
