COMING TOGETHER brought together the community in a never seen before way. Celebrating World Environment Day on its eve was the agenda of the evening and a fun-filled family extravaganza was the way to go about it!

The evening was a novel celebration aimed at making us more caring towards our planet… by caring for each other. The programme involved music, mesmerising community art, delightful cinema and bonding over delicious refreshments.

IT FEATURED

FISHERWOMAN & TUK TUK: Screening of the National-award winning animated short film. Directed by Suresh Eriyat, it is a poignant story of a middle aged fisherwoman who dreams of owning an auto rickshaw and the subsequent consequences that ensue.

AFTERLIGHT: An acoustic/electric band comprising of likeminded enthusiastic individuals belting out renditions of well-known artists such as U2, Coldplay, John Mayer and Bob Dylan. They also have a passion for original compositions and are in the process of recording their demo album to be released later in 2016. Afterlight will have Mark D’Mello on the lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Caroline Menezes and Nikita Menezes on the piano and vocals, Nikhil Aarons on the lead guitar and Sagar Belsare providing the percussion.

IN PRAISE OF PLANET EARTH: A captivating audio-visual curated by Gyaan Adab.

COLOURS OF ONE: A community visual art experience – creating words and images with various mediums, expressing a common sharing, reaching out together, becoming one.
