Bhrigu takes a bow

Gyaan Adab presents an acoustic guitar concert of Bhrigu Sahni’s own compositions inspired by the minimalist music of Michael Hedges, drawing from the Sufi, Flamenco and Indian raga traditions to create a sound that is spiritually charged.

For the evening, Bhrigu brings with him numerous creative collaborations having performed with Meshell Ndgeocello, Karsh Kale, Angelique Kidjo and Timothy Lefebvre at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Blue Note Jazz Club (NYC), Lincoln Center Outdoors Festival and other performance spaces across the world. So drop in for a feet-tapping evening as the talented artist performs for the pen-ultimate time before leaving for New York.

About the guitarist

Playing virtuosic acoustic finger-style music with his own singer-songwriter compositions and adding colourful textures with his loop-station, guitarist and composer Bhrigu Sahni is known for his incredible musical versatility.

Based out of New York, he is a graduate from the Berkley College of Music – the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world- and uses altered tunings and Flamenco techniques on the acoustic guitar to create ethereal soundscapes that have captivated audiences worldwide.
