6th December 2015, Sunday
The highlight of the day came as the afternoon turned the Centre’s roof into a pretty shade of golden yellow and the four real-life travellers presented their life stories in front of a jam-packed crowd.
Use bits from the Wanderlust mailer. Divya Tate talked about her struggle and joy as India’s first participant into the 2011 edition of the Paris-Brest-Paris super cycling race. She was followed by Majid Aziz who spoke about the enriching experience of spending time alone in the mountains and how material things really don’t matter in the long run of life. He encouraged everyone to visit the mountains at least once, and see the magic for themselves. Salish Quraishi came in on his cycle and presented himself as one of the most simple and down to earth person. As his speech ended, one could see it had affected a lot of the patrons, as most of them had teared up. Biker and travel-enthusiast Baljeet Singh Kochhar vroomed in, wowing everyone with his Royal Enfield bike. He spoke about the simple magic of biking and how much changed a person can become due to it. For him, riding had been a passion since his school-days. The session came to a pleasant conclusion as Randhir Khare asked them to state how their individual passions for travelling had affected their close ones.
