Stories of Joy

Film enthusiasts thronged the Centre as an interesting evening of short films took off. These films were made as a contribution to the ‘Joy of Giving Week’, a philanthropic festival widely celebrated across India. The event featured a screening of five short films directed by upcoming filmmakers.

The first film – CHAIWALA was about how we get so caught up in our day to day activities that we sometimes forget that a simple gesture can light up a smile on someone’s face.

The second film – A JOY UNBOUND revolved around the almost religious passion of a father and his son for cricket.

The third film – CHOR was about the innocent portrayal of childhood’s expression of forgiveness, love and giving.
Directed by: Swapnil Kumawat & Prasad Bhardwaja
The fourth film was DODKA – shot in black and white, this film begins with a young man, whose bike has broken down, in the middle of the night, who escorts an old man who has lost his way home, back to his anxious daughter.

The fifth flm – THE LAST ONE – narrated the story of a young man who manages to brighten up the faces of numerous have-nots and becomes a social media sensation until a homeless man puts him through a reality check.
