Gyaan Adab in association with Kalinga Kala Kendra presented an evening of Odissi dance performance by the renowned Sarita Mishra. A graded artist of Doordarshan, Sarita Mishra started learning Odissi dance formally at the age of four. In addition to being a dancer, she is actively involved in teaching dance and conducting various workshops & lecture demonstrations.
The evening was an eclectic mix of all things divine and peaceful. The programme lasted for an hour, and was interspersed with narration in between the performances. It was indeed a treat for the eyes of anyone who loved dance in its purest form.
Founded in 2010 by Smt. Mamata Mishra, Kalinga Kala Kendra is a growing institution devoted to promoting classical music learning with a new conceptual method- through scientific, logical and yogic aspects of learning fine arts.
