ABOUT THE DANCERS

Ishwari is the daughter of Guru Prerana Deshpande and has been dancing for 16 years now. Her father being Pt Supreet Deshpande, she has grown up in an atmosphere of dance and music from the very beginning. Her first stage performance was at the young age of 4. Ishwari has been performing not only in groups but solo Kathak in multiple places in India and abroad in USA, Canada, South Africa, Reunion Island and other African countries.

Rucha has been training under Guru Prerana Deshpande since a young age of 8 and since then, has had great interest and passion for Kathak. She has been a lead dancer in almost all of her guru’s group dances and is currently teaching at Nrityadham in its main branch at Baner. She has performed in front of some of the well-known gurus of this field. She has had significant experience in teaching of over four years in the institute as well as in a school.

Kalyani and Devika are both senior students of Guru Prerana Deshpande and have learned from her since a young age of 8-9 years, and have performed in many of their guru’s group dances and have also performed solo.
