Baroque, Classical & Romantic Periods:
Music in the 17th, 18th & 19th Century
Presented by Santanu Datta
ABOUT THE EVENT
Just as the warm rays of the sun were thawing the winter morning chill on what turned out to be a very pleasant Saturday, an intimate group of participants settled down at GA for a full day workshop on the appreciation of classsical music and its roots.
The workshop was conducted by Santanu Datta and the various eras of western classical music throughout the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th centuries were covered in detail. The subject matter was as interesting as it was exhaustive and Santanu was resourceful enough to intersperse the presentation with audio and visual clippings of various significant pieces of music
