Multiple Personality by Veena Chandran

In this sculpture series, the artist explores herself by trying to find out where the artist fits in and how she responds to the environment. She started working on the series while she was traveling and working in the Scandinavian area.
Her interaction with new peopleand the experience of understanding different personalities is reflected in these sculptures. She realized that there were many emotions and personalities within her too. Multiple personality is not just a depiction of herself but the meaningful ‘coming together’ of various other personalities that together work towards a collaborative end product.

Lift Off – An installation by Amrita Katara

The idea behind this installation was forged out of the artists’ anxieties that have come about from being grounded. She views her past experiences as an elusive dream, something that is distorted, irrevocable, and something that she yearns for. The swell of emotions brought on by the feeling of nostalgia serves as an avenue to find value and meaning in life, and leaves the artist hopeful for the future. Every paper plane has been folded out of a map, and represents a seductive desire to go out into the world and find a way to detach from apprehensions.
