The January edition of ‘For the Love of Jazz’ was centred on the theme of ‘Identity in the Art World’ and what set the icons of that age apart from their contemporaries.
The presentation by Mr. Ashwin Panemangalore focused on these icons and their contributions towards jazz.
What we know as present day jazz was shaped over a period of several decades through the efforts of individuals with diverse backgrounds, perspectives and personalities. But they all shared a singular trait that was the undying love for the art and the perpetuation of jazz to the generations yet to come.
The presentation covered various facets of their life, struggles and the legacy they left behind after their departures.
