For the Love of Jazz
Before they bid adieu and headed off for a summer vacation, the Pune Jazz & Blues Club brought us a Live Jazz Session featuring Pune’s finest and most seasoned trumpet player – Roque Vaz.
The performance was preceded by a multimedia presentation on a few jazz trumpet legends. Ashwin Panemangalore, illustrated his talk with a performance by each on video.
ABOUT THE PERFORMER
Roque Vaz
Roque has been a veteran of the jazz circuit, performing with the top bands of Mumbai and later leading his quartet. He is well known for his smooth trumpet lines and raspy vocals.
He was backed by
Dean Vaz on the bass,
Ashdin Bharucha on the guitar,
Aubrey Dias on piano and
David Mansey on percussion.
