Feathered Friends

5th August 2016, Friday

It was an enrapturing evening of tales about birds, an exciting audio-visual and a drawing session as author Sarita Dasgupta introduced us to her feathered friends through her debut book.

She firstly interacted with the children via two presentations where she described her life in Assam, and the various wildlife and birds she interacted with there. She then read from her novel and held a short but interesting quiz, which in turn inspired the little ones who had gathered to draw pictures of birds and take home exciting prizes.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Feathered Friends is an illustrated collection of Aesopian stories about forest birds learning to live in harmony with each other and with their natural surroundings, while growing into independent individuals.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Sarita Dasgupta is the writer and director of several children’s plays. She has conducted workshops on subjects such as English grammar, communication skills, creative writing and drama.
