Gyaan Adab invites you to

Unsung Heroes of the Old Hindi film song

In the hundredth year of Indian cinema we enter the world of old Hindi film music and consider what makes it so rich, everlasting and popular. In the process we uncover a virtually unknown world of great jazz, western and Indian classical musicians and arrangers who worked silently behind the music directors of that time to make that happen.

Through a multi-media presentation we will explore that hidden world of arrangers and musicians as well as the variety of instruments they played and innovated while creating those magnificent pieces of sound track and song.
