Milk Teeth traces the growth of Ira and Kartik, neighbours and friends since childhood, and the entrance of Kaiz into Ira's world. It is a quest for love set in the troubled Bombay of the 90s. The communal tension, the changes brought about by Liberalization, the frantic scramble for space that categorized the period forms the overwhelming backdrop to the action. The book was shortlisted for the Crossword Book Award and longlisted for the JCB Prize for Literature and the TataLitLive First Book Award in 2019.
