Soul Journey

September 30, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - October 6, 2016 @ 6:30 pm

A sculpture series by Flavius Pisapia

Gyaan Adab invites you to experience the soul-stirring journey of the Italian artist Flavius Pisapia through his sculpture series.

The artist has explored the soul moving through seven planets and their qualities with his sculptures of painted steel that enunciate the entire journey the soul takes through her own inner activity - metamorphosing from one state of consciousness to the next.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Flavius Pisapia is an Italian artist living in India. He works in metal, steel, wood, clay and colour. His artwork has been exhibited in India, UK and Italy. He is also an Art Therapy Practitioner and Transformative Arts facilitator.

Soul Speak

At the inauguration there will be a specially curated eurhythmy performance by Sahya Samson and Flavius Pisapia based on three poems of Randhir Khare composed on the occasion of the Soul Journey art exhibition by the Italian artist- Flavius Pisapia.

Veronica Krishnayya, the well-known musician, conductor, music teacher and voice trainer, will read the poems while Sahya Samson, will bring alive the spirit and meaning of the poems through the eurhythmy performance. The artist and sculptor, Flavius Pisapia will join his wife Sahya in the performance of the last poem.

The poems talk about the harmony of the body and soul. Veronica Krishnayya’s reading of the poems by Randhir Khare and the eurhythmy performance come together in a beautiful harmony, expressing the language of the soul.

What is Eurhythmy?

Eurhythmy is inspired by Ancient Greek dance and means ‘harmonious movement’. It has been created from the spiritual philosophic movement of Rudolph Steiner.
