An enthralling and soul stirring evening celebrating Urdu prose and poetry performed by the celebrated actor Naved Aslam.

Gyaan Adab’s mandate has always been that of celebrating literature in its multiple forms. Urdu, a language full of elegance and grace, has existed in a pure form through time and tide. And it is with this same vigor and motive that we plan to celebrate the eternal language. This inaugural event heralds the start of JASHN- an exciting series of Urdu programmes here at the Centre. This endeavour is part of Gyaan Adab’s commitment to the promotion of Urdu language and literature which seeks to bring together a common sharing through performances, discussions and creative interaction in a common spirit of appreciation.

Naved Aslam is an Indian film, television and theater actor and script writer who is best known for his roles in the films Chhal, Sehar, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. & Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. His famous television serials include Beintehaa, Jodha Akbar and Pavitra Rishta. He has also written, directed and acted in numerous plays. Aslam did his post-graduation in Mass Communications from the Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi.
