ABOUT THE EVENT
Gyaan Adab organized Dharohar, a semi-classical hindustani music recital by Urvashi Shah, Avantika Sinha, Upendra Sahasrabuddhe (harmonium) and Mahesh Salunke (tabla).
The artists had a custom made repertoire that took the audience on a journey of ragas. The performance began with Urvashi presenting raag Desh, it was next Avantika who presented a thumri. This was followed by a smooth transition into popular Bollywood music that uses raags from Hindustani music.
The accomplished accompanists brought so much to the recital with their skill and finesse.
Undoubtedly, a very informative and soul stirring event.
