The Book Club will meet to discuss The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton
Mehvash Peerbhoy will lead the review.
ABOUT THE BOOK:
In the summer of 1961, at a picnic to celebrate her brother’s second birthday, 16 year old Laurel witnesses a shocking crime. Cut to 2011, she finds herself drawn to that summer afternoon and overwhelmed by the memories and mystery of what happened that day. She returns to the family home to piece together a secret history, something that will help her make sense of what happened. The narrative shifts between the 1930s, 1960s and present day – stringing together the stories of three different people brought together in wartime London.
Date: 22nd August, Monday.
