She was a young beggar who would sit at‎ the busiest square of the crowded city, bare chested, begging. One day her nude body was discovered‎, causing a sensation and gossip spread. In a matter of hours, she became the talk of the town.

Who was she? Why had she exposed herself? Did she want to be the focal point of talk and discussion? Questions, questions and more questions!

The play makes a sensitive effort to look into the human psyche, raising several questions. The most significant one being – why do people do what they do.

About the writer-director

Sanjay Bhardwaj is a renowned Hindi writer and theatre artist. He is known for his multifaceted interest in literary work and social activity and has written and directed many full length and one act plays in addition to having made more than 20 documentaries. He credits theatre with teaching him to work passionately in different walks of life and says- ‘ye theatre hai jo aapko marne tak jeene nahi deta aur jab tak aap poora jee nahi lete, marne nahi deta.’
