After discussing the magic of Swing Era last month, the Pune Jazz & Blues Club has scheduled two episodes from the excellent documentary film on Jazz produced by Ken Burns.

The Washington Post described it as “a sweeping exuberant panorama of Jazz history”. Spread across 10 episodes, it celebrates Jazz’s turbulent history from its origins in blues and ragtime to bebop, fusion and the avant-garde. It combines vintage sounds, interviews with famous musicians and critics, interspersed with shots of period photos, movie clips and music along with engaging commentary.

So do make it to Gyaan Adab on Sunday 1st November 11 am for an enriching experience!
