Kahat Kabir Suno Bhai Sadho.

Kabir Das was a 15th Century mystic poet, saint and reformer whose writings influenced Hinduism’s Bhakti movement. Loved equally by Hindus and Muslims, his verses present his reformist thoughts: the unity of all religions; the rejection of rituals, idol worship and casteism; the equality of men; the importance of ‘bhakti’ and good deeds to come closer to the one ‘nirgun’ God; and more.
Kabir presented his teachings in the form of devotional ‘dohas’ written in simple, earthy ‘boli-bhasha’ to appeal to the common man. His legacy continues through the Kabir Panth, devoted followers of Kabir who worship his ‘dohas’ compiled in a sacred book, ‘Bijaka’.

Coming from a lineage of Kabir Panthis, Satish Kumar has nurtured his musical inheritance of Nirgun recitals based on the writings of Kabir and passed down the generations. Along with being a vocalist and singing tutor, Satish is an active performing artist.
He will be accompanied by his brother Vinay Kumar – a keyboardist and vocalist, currently training at the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.
