The Magnificent Tigers of India
THE MAGNIFICENT TIGERS OF INDIA
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Vipul will take us through the landscape of central India, and Kanha in particular, to learn about the symbiotic relationship of forest dwelling communities and the forests, and how it is threatened. Vipul also suggests ways to nurture it back, so that the generations after us can continue to enjoy nature the way God intended.
Vipul will also speak about how working as a wildlife photographer has changed him as a person, and about the community development work he is doing through his NGO- Earth Focus Foundation.
The program is filled with pictures and anecdotes and how Vipul developed a very powerful connection to the world of Tigers, nature and the forest dwelling communities.
We recommend viewing on a computer screen or tab to best enjoy the dramatic photographs.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Mechanical engineer by education, entrepreneur at heart, Vipul is an ardent nature lover and keen wildlife and nature photographer.
He has observed the breakdown of the relationship which man has with bio diversity, and believes that unless this beautiful relationship is restored, Tigers, which are at the apex of the food chain, will vanish, and so will our forests.
Vipul now lends his strategic skills, and experience in leading people to address community-oriented development issues for tribal families in Kanha National Park. He has founded Earth Focus Kanha (earthfocus.in), where the mission is to empower forest dwelling communities through contextual education and nature-based livelihoods, and thereby preserve our bio-diversity.
