A celebration of mystic music
ABOUT THE EVENT
Through the words of diverse mystic voices across geography and time – including Kabir, Janabai, Gyaneshwar, Shah Latif Bhitai, Tukaram, Bhabha Pagla and Akka Mahadevi- this online performance celebrates the oneness of spirit of Sufi and Bhakti poetry. Weaving seamlessly between text and song, Shruthi Vishwanath will bring to light both familiar and new aspects of the great tapestry of philosophy from the Indian subcontinent.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Shruthi Vishwanath is a singer, composer, and educator who explores intersections of classical and folk, visceral and intellectual through her music. She is known for her interpretations of poems by women. She has performed extensively across India and around the world, including at Kabir Festival Mumbai, Jaipur Literature Festival, Kochi Muziris Biennale and Malwa Kabir Yatra.
