SUMMARY:Blowing in the Wind
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating Bob Dylan\, the phenomenon – poet\, singer and musician who became a voice for his generation and an inspiration for those who followed. \nDylan is a bard in the true sense\, continuing the great tradition of balladeering. His iconic creations mirror the spirit of the times. As the first singer-songwriter to be awarded the Nobel Prize for literature\, he has found himself at the butt end of literary criticism. Their music is an amalgamation of ambient pop\, soul and folk. \nAmit Khadikar (AK) has many public faces – Hourglass Inversion\, AKoustic Soul\, Desi Quarter & performs as part of The Chamber Singers. He plays Alternative Rock\, Ambient Acoustic\, Bollywood Commercial and Western Classical. His latest music video\, Home\, for AKoustic Soul of the song captures the essence of his music. \nDate – Wednesday\, 16th November \nTime – 7 PM \nDonation Pass – 100/- \n

SUMMARY:Illusions
DESCRIPTION:Illusions\nAn exhibition of art by Ann Delorme \nThis series is the result of the artist’s relationship with blank sheets of beautiful paper mounted on her easel. Forms are born beneath her sketch pencil as she traces lines around the sheet of paper. Interesting distortions are created of what she sees around her… illusions of the real substance of things\, which she finds more real. \nShe works with aquarelle pencils and wax\, acrylic paint and spray glaze to bring her illusions alive on paper. A narrative with words is visually integrated into the composition to give it a submerged otherness. Conceived in the subconscious\, finding form on paper\, her art is a powerfully internal expression of the world she encounters. \nABOUT THE ARTIST \nAnn Delorme studied from the J.J School of Arts in Mumbai. She learnt clay modelling and sketching of life studies in J.J. Fine Arts Division. She has exhibited her marble sculptures in Jehangir Art Gallery. Her paintings have been exhibited in Kala Ghoda – Artist Centre in Mumbai. She was invited to exhibit her copper reliefs with patina at the Hungarian Triennale in Kescemet\, Hungary in 2007. Ann has also exhibited her bronze sculptures. Ann also works with pencils and wax. \nInauguration – Friday\, 18th November \nTime – 6.30 PM \nEntry Free \n(Please Note – The exhibition will remain open till Friday\, 25th November; \nTimings – 10.30 AM to 6.30 PM)
