SUMMARY:Sojourn
DESCRIPTION: The Stories That Feet Tell\nAn Exhibition of Drawings By Sucheta Siddha \n\n\nFrom infancy to adulthood and beyond\, our feet feature in numerous social\, cultural\, community and religious customs\, beliefs and practices. But these don’t leave any impression on the stories of our lives. People do. Those who walk in and out of our lives leave footprints that knowingly or unknowingly change the paths of our lives for better or for worse and in the process alter our perspectives. \nIn this exhibition\, Sucheta Siddha uses the essential form of feet to explore this complex and many faceted experience in order to provide multiple perspectives for the viewer – from which life and relationships can be viewed. The drawings on display in this exhibition have been selected from her series of 150 thematic works that explore life and relationships using the image of feet. \nHer line drawings are sharply defined\, confident and energetic. Their immediacy is evident as they connect with our lives at an essential level. The physical is reinforced and made symbolic\, challenging the viewer to also look at larger emotional\, social and ethical implications. Borne out of deep internal experience and reflection\, the drawings express the emerging accomplishment of a talented artist. \n  \nSucheta Siddha has had one solo show and has participated in two group shows. She has an  MA in Fine Arts  (SNDT\, Pune)\, Art Master ( Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalay\, Pune) and Applied Art Diploma(Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalay\, Pune)\, and wide experience in art education in schools\, art direction in print media newspapers and weeklies\, in-house publications of industrial houses and has led design and marketing initiatives in the laminate industry. \nDate: 12th March 2016\, Saturday.\nInauguration: 6.30 pm on March 12th\, Saturday. \nThe exhibition will remain open from 12th-25th March 2016. \nENTRY FREE \n
