Red Kite Adventure

 23rd July 2016, Saturday

It was an evening filled with laughter and smiles as children came from all over the town to read and make kites here at the Centre. Leela Broome conducted the session with a crowd of enthusiastic children and parents who assisted them in making colourful kites to take home. The young participants received prizes for the best kites from the author herself.

Leela Broome’s first short story was published in The Statesman, Delhi, when she was fourteen. She has initiated, illustrated and produced a children’s magazine. Her debut as a writer was with ‘Flute in the Forest’. ‘Red Kite Adventure’ is her second novel. Over the last forty years, she has been working with children.
