The Madhubani workshop was a treat for the participants who were art lovers and eager to attempt the painting style. The workshop began with our artists for the evening, the father-son duo, Vidyanath Jha and Krishna Kumar Jha, enlightening everybody about the origin of Madhubani Art. Further on, the artists drew popular motifs such as the fish and the peacock for the participants to attempt. Also, using the many paintings that the artists had carried along to display, attempting to replicate the details of an age old form became easy and fun. Best of all, the workshop culminated with everyone clutching on to a piece of art that they had created.
