ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

With Ganesh Chathurthi not so far away, the workshop helped participants make their own favourite Modaks, flowers, makhar and other decorations with a 100% biodegradable, eco-friendly and sustainable plant called Shola found in the marshlands of West Bengal. Sholapith craft is the delicate carving of the dried and shaved stem of the Shola plant that is used to make decorative items.
