After the magical success of the play THE DREAM THAT CHANGED THE WORLD, Gyaan Adab  Children’s Theatre returns with two exciting new plays, THE SQUIGGLY IN THE FISH POND and THE WISH THAT RAN AWAY.

1.THE SQUIGGLY IN THE FISH POND  is a science fiction adventure for 12 to 15 year olds that dramatically unfolds a story about aliens visiting earth in search of their lost children. It’s about the power of loveand  generosity and about how we are here for the world and not just our families.

SESSIONS START ON SATURDAY AUGUST 18, 2018

TIMING: 10AM TO 2PM

AND CONTINUE FOR 8 SATURDAYS.

Participant’s Take-Away:

* Voice Development – discover your own unique way of using your voice dramatically

* Theatrical Movement – learn how to convincingly become a character

* Make The Stage Your Home – learn the art of transforming the stage into an imaginary space

where your story unfolds.

* Collaborative Skills-  learn how to perform with others and share your skills in a creative way

THE SERIES OF SESSIONS WILL CULMINATE IN A PUBLIC PERFORMANCE OF THE PLAY.

Creative Quotient Report

Each participant will be given a Creative Quotient Report (CQR) which identifies specific creative skills, abilities and potentials. For those who have already received a CQR from The Gyaan Adab Children’s Theatre Programme will receive a Grade 2 CQR with new parameters.

Self Development Kit

Each participant will be given a Self Development Kit which has been specially designed to enrich their creative capacities through activities and exercises and enrichment resource material to encourage a more wholesome development and creative empowerment of the individual and social self.

2. THE WISH THAT RAN AWAY is a fantasy play for 6 to 11 year olds about what happens when we wish for more than we really need. Don’t Wishes get tired? What happens when they disappear? A magical story about the wish that ran away and how a gang of kids set out on a long and perilous journey to bring it back.

*Performance Skills – the art of stage performance with special emphasis on expressive movement.

*Confidence building – the art of confidently speaking and using your body on stage

FEE:        Rs.5,000/- for workshop sessions  & costumes for final production
